What does the 3 Jyotirlinga tour from Nashik actually cost? The honest answer: the taxi is the one big fixed number, and almost everything else is either free or a choice you make.
Darshan at Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar and Grishneshwar is free. This guide breaks down the rest — the car, two nights' stay, optional passes, tickets and food — so you can budget the 3-day, 825 km loop before you book.
| Item | What to expect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Taxi, 3 days, Nashik to Nashik | One fixed package fare | Includes tolls, parking, driver allowance and night halts |
| Night 1 — Bhimashankar | From about ₹1,000 | Few rooms near the temple; MTDC is about 9.5 km away |
| Night 2 — Shirdi | About ₹200–900 at the Sansthan | Private hotels at every budget above that |
| Darshan | Free | Passes optional — see below |
| Ellora ticket | ₹40 per Indian adult | Children under 15 free |
The taxi is priced per vehicle, not per person — which is why the per-head cost drops sharply for a family of five than for a couple. The live fare for each vehicle is on the package page.
A fixed-fare package is only good value if you know what sits inside it. On this loop, the fare covers:
An air-conditioned vehicle and driver for all three days, Nashik to Nashik
Pickup and drop at your Nashik hotel or Nashik Road station
All tolls, parking charges and driver allowance
The driver's night halt charges at Bhimashankar and Shirdi
Waiting time at every temple and stop on the itinerary
It does not cover your stay, meals, GST, entry tickets, darshan passes, pooja charges, guide or porter fees, or running beyond the agreed kilometres.
None of these are compulsory. They are worth paying for only when the queue is long and your time — or your parents' knees — matter more.
Trimbakeshwar: a ₹200 donation darshan pass per person, booked on trimbakeshwartrust.com/onlinevip. It was paused for part of 2026, so check it is running for your dates. More in our Trimbakeshwar VIP darshan guide.
Bhimashankar: no paid fast lane since the 2026 reopening. Darshan is by free online registration on shreebhimashankar.com.
Shirdi: a ₹200 paid darshan on online.sai.org.in, and aarti passes at about ₹600 for Kakad Aarti and ₹400 for the others. Devotees aged 65+ get a free senior queue.
Grishneshwar: special darshan tickets, roughly ₹200–500, sold at the temple counter on arrival.
Ellora Caves: ₹40 per Indian adult; children under 15 enter free.
Bhimashankar is the expensive night for what you get. Rooms near the temple are few, and budget stays start at about ₹1,000.
The MTDC resort is about 9.5 km from the temple, which saves money but adds a morning drive. Our guide to staying at Bhimashankar for an early darshan compares the options.
Shirdi is the cheap night. The Sai Sansthan's bhaktniwas rooms run roughly ₹200–900, depending on AC and room type, and private hotels cover every budget above that.
Fill the car. The fare is per vehicle, so four or five people share it better than two.
Book the Sansthan room in Shirdi as soon as booking opens for your dates.
Skip passes on weekdays. Outside weekends and festivals, general queues are usually manageable.
Avoid festival weeks. Rooms at Bhimashankar and Shirdi cost more — and sell out — in Shravan, on Mahashivratri and around the 2027 Kumbh dates.
Eat where the Yatris eat. Simple thali places near each temple are far cheaper than highway restaurants.
Trusted by thousands of Yatris across India.
The small costs add up over three days, and a few of them surprise first-timers:
Meals: simple thali places near each temple are the cheapest option. In Shirdi, the Sai Sansthan's own prasadalaya serves low-cost meals to devotees.
Doli at Bhimashankar: the palanquin for the steps is paid, so agree the price before you start, not at the top.
Offerings: flowers, prasad and oil for the Shani abhishek are sold outside every temple — all optional.
Footwear and bag counters: small or no charge, but keep change handy.
Driver's tip: not included and not expected, but appreciated after three long days.
Book Bhimashankar first. It is the scarce night, and the cheapest rooms near the temple go early at weekends. Book Shirdi second, ideally through the Sansthan portal.
The full route, day by day, with darshan windows and the Tuesday trap at Ellora, is in our 3 Jyotirlinga tour from Nashik guide.
The car is one fixed number; the rest is your choice — plan the two nights first and the trip budgets itself. Har Har Mahadev 🚩
