Pickup from your hotel, home or the railway station in Nashik. North through Dindori and Vani to Nanduri, about two hours, the last stretch a ghat road up the hill.
Saptashrungi Gad is the half Shakti Peeth among Maharashtra's three and a half. The temple sits high on the cliff: take the funicular trolley from the base, about three minutes, or climb roughly 500 steps. The idol is about eight feet tall with eighteen arms. Keep two and a half hours for the climb, darshan and the walk back.
Tea or a late breakfast at the base at Nanduri, then back down the ghat.
South through Dindori and around Nashik to Trimbak, about two and a half hours. Lunch at Trimbak before darshan.
Darshan at the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, at the foot of Brahmagiri hill. This is the busier of the two temples on this trip, so the queue decides how long it takes; keep about two hours.
A short walk from the temple to Kushavarta Kund, the tank where the Godavari is said to rise.
Ramkund on the Godavari, the Kapaleshwar Mahadev temple on the steps above it, the Kalaram Temple with its black stone idol of Rama, and the narrow Sita Gufa beside it. All four are within walking distance of each other. By this hour the lamps are being lit at the ghats for the evening aarti.
A short drive to where you were picked up, where the trip ends.

Close to fourteen hours, of which about six are driving. A six o'clock pickup ends at about a quarter to eight in the evening. If that is too long, the Saptashrungi and Trimbakeshwar package ends two hours earlier.
No. A funicular trolley runs from the base to the temple in about three minutes, for a small ticket paid at the counter. The other way is a climb of roughly 500 steps. The vehicle goes up to the parking at the base in both cases.
On an ordinary weekday afternoon, about an hour to an hour and a half. On Mondays, weekends and through the Shravan month the queue can run several hours, which is the one thing that can make this day run late.
Navratri, Chaitra Purnima and most weekends draw very heavy crowds, and the queue for the trolley alone can run long. On those days start earlier than the plan says. In heavy monsoon rain the hill is sometimes closed for a day or two, so check before you travel then.
Yes, but the earlier start is what keeps the queue short at Saptashrungi. A later pickup pushes every stop back by the same amount, and the last stop is the first to get squeezed.
Meals, the funicular trolley ticket, special or VIP darshan passes, pooja charges, guide fees and personal expenses.
