Everything was well planned
Both Jyotirlingas, two nights in Dwarka, and every darshan timed around when the temples are actually open.
Car stays with you for the whole trip and drops you back
This plan can be changed to suit your timings.
Your taxi reaches your Rajkot hotel, residence, railway station or the airport at eight in the morning. Luggage loaded, and the drive west on NH-27 towards Jamnagar begins.
A half-hour halt where an unbroken recitation of the Ram Dhun has continued for decades. Tea here before the second half of the drive.
A proper sit-down lunch stop on the Jamnagar-Dwarka road. Pure vegetarian Gujarati thali.
Hotel check-in and rest. The temple is closed through the afternoon, so this is deliberate rest time rather than a gap in the plan.
The temple reopens at five in the evening for Uthapan darshan. Phones, cameras and bags stay in the vehicle or at the counter.
The evening aarti at Dwarkadhish. Reach a little early for a position in the hall rather than the courtyard.
An optional walk down to the ghat and across the footbridge afterwards, if the group still has the legs for it.
After breakfast, the drive north to Okha and across the Sudarshan Setu. About an hour each way.
The bridge replaced the old boat crossing in twenty twenty-four, so there is no ferry queue. The vehicle parks on the island side and local transport covers the last stretch to the temple.
The second Jyotirlinga of the trip, on the Dwarka-Okha road with the tall Shiva statue in the grounds. Reached before the half past twelve closure.
A short stop at the temple of Krishna's first consort, on the way back into Dwarka town.
Back at the hotel for lunch with the whole afternoon still ahead.
Rest, or the beach at Shivrajpur, or the market. Nothing scheduled. This is the afternoon a three-day tour does not have.
The calmest darshan of the entire trip, before the day's crowds arrive. Breakfast at the hotel afterwards.
Checkout and the coastal drive south on NH-51, roughly two hours to Porbandar.
Gandhiji's birthplace, now a museum, and the Sudama temple nearby. An hour and a half here, not a photo stop.
Lunch before the longer second leg down the coast through Mangrol and Veraval.
Hotel check-in with time to rest before the evening. Somnath, unlike Dwarka, stays open through the afternoon.
The evening aarti at the first Jyotirlinga, with the Arabian Sea behind the temple. Everything except a water bottle goes into the free lockers outside.
The hour-long show in the temple grounds, immediately after the aarti. It does not run in heavy rain.
The morning aarti, then a second unhurried darshan while the complex is still quiet.
The three sites around Prabhas Patan, all within a few kilometres of the temple. Back for breakfast by half past nine.
The inland road home through Keshod and Junagadh, about a hundred and ninety kilometres.
Lunch on the way, with Gondal passed in the afternoon.
An optional stop for darshan at the Jalaram Bapa temple, where the bhojan has been served free to every visitor for generations.
Drop at your Rajkot address, railway station or the airport by late afternoon. Book onward travel for the evening, not the afternoon.

Between half past four and five in the evening at Rajkot. Please book your onward train or flight for the evening. An early afternoon departure means giving up the Somnath morning darshan.
No. Somnath has strict security and everything except a water bottle must go into the lockers outside, which are free. Dwarkadhish also does not permit phones, cameras or bags inside. Your driver will point you to the counters.
It closes every afternoon from one o'clock to five o'clock for the deity's rest. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga closes from half past twelve to five. This itinerary is built around both closures, which is why the Dwarka darshans fall in the evening and at dawn.
No. The Sudarshan Setu bridge opened in February twenty twenty-four and carries vehicles across. The taxi parks on the island side and local transport covers the short last stretch to the temple.
Lunch and dinner, personal expenses, any pooja, abhishek or seva booking at the temples, entry tickets at Kirti Mandir, the Somnath light and sound show ticket, and anything not listed under inclusions.
Yes, both work as a fifth day on the return leg. Girnar needs a night at Junagadh and the ropeway runs from eight in the morning to five in the evening. Gir lion safari permits have to be booked well in advance. Tell us at the time of booking.
October to March. The coastal roads are at their best and the weather is comfortable. During the monsoon the Somnath light and sound show is often cancelled.
Yes. No day begins before half past six, the longest drive is about two hundred and thirty-five kilometres, and both Jyotirlingas are at ground level with no climb. The one thing to know is that Bet Dwarka involves a short walk from the parking area to the temple.
