Pickup from your hotel in Shirdi and northwest towards Sinnar. An early start matters here — the darshan queue lengthens through the morning and the return leg is long.
A short break on the highway. This is the last stretch with easy food options before the hill.
The taxi parks at the designated lot. From here the temple is reached either by the ropeway, which runs to the top in a few minutes, or on foot up around 470 steps. The ropeway ticket is bought at the station and is not part of the fare.
Darshan of the eighteen-armed goddess carved into the rock face. The shrine sits in a cleft with the valley opening out below it, and the Markandeya hill stands across from it. Allow time for the queue, which is longest on weekends, during Navratri and through the Chaitra full moon.

About ten and a half hours from pickup to drop, covering 282 km round trip. Roughly seven of those hours are driving; the rest is darshan, the climb or ropeway, and meals. It is a long single day, so an early start is worth it.
The temple is on a hill above Nanduri, reached by around 470 steps. A ropeway runs to the top for anyone who would rather not climb, and takes a few minutes. Tickets are bought at the ropeway station and are not included in the taxi fare. Queues for the ropeway can be long on weekends and during Navratri.
Yes, if they use the ropeway. The walk from the upper ropeway station to the shrine is short, though there are a few steps. Palki carriers are usually available at the base for those who need them, arranged and paid for directly. Without the ropeway, 470 steps each way is demanding.
Up to the designated parking area at the base. The climb or ropeway from there is on foot, and the driver waits with the vehicle until you return.

Down by ropeway or steps, then lunch at Nanduri or on the Nashik road. Simple bhojanalayas near the base; better options once you are back near Nashik.
Back through Nashik and Sinnar, about three and a half hours. Drop at your Shirdi hotel by around half past five in the evening, where the trip ends.
Both Navratris, the Chaitra Purnima festival, and weekends through the year. Queues on those days can add two to three hours, and the return to Shirdi runs correspondingly late. A weekday outside festival season is much easier.
Yes, but it makes an already long day longer. Panchavati or Muktidham can be added on the return leg if discussed before booking, since they push the Shirdi drop past seven in the evening.
Ropeway tickets, palki charges, meals, GST, pooja and abhishek charges, shoe stand fees, personal expenses, and anything not listed under inclusions. Running beyond the agreed kilometre limit is charged separately.
