Pickup from Ujjain Junction railway station or your hotel in Ujjain. If you arrive by train, the car first takes you to your hotel so you can leave your luggage and freshen up.
Mahakaleshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the only one that faces south. Regular darshan is free; keep about 2 hours, because the queue decides how long it takes. Afterwards walk through Mahakal Lok, the corridor of sculptures and murals beside the temple, opened in 2022.
Lunch in Ujjain at a place of your choice; the driver can suggest one. Meals are paid by you.
Three stops, each about 5 to 7 km from Mahakaleshwar. Kal Bhairav is regarded as the guardian deity of Ujjain; Mangalnath stands on the Shipra and is traditionally held to be the birthplace of Mangal (Mars); Sandipani Ashram is where, by tradition, Krishna, Balarama and Sudama studied.
Harsiddhi Mata is counted among the Shakti Peethas and is about 0.5 km from Mahakaleshwar. Its two tall lamp towers are lit in the evening.
Ram Ghat is the main ghat on the Shipra, about 1 km from Mahakaleshwar. The evening aarti is held on the ghat itself. After it the car drops you at your hotel; night in Ujjain.
Night stay: Ujjain
Check out and leave for Omkareshwar, about 140 km and 3.5 hours via the Indore highway. Yatris who hold a Bhasma Aarti pass attend the aarti at about 4 AM first; tell us in advance and the car will take you to the temple before dawn.
You reach Omkareshwar before noon. There is no hotel here on this plan; your luggage stays in the car and the driver waits at the parking.
The temple is on Mandhata island in the Narmada, an island said to be shaped like Om. You reach it on foot across a bridge or by boat from the ghat; the boat ticket is paid there. There are steps at the ghat and up to the temple.
Lunch in Omkareshwar at a place of your choice. Meals are paid by you.
Mamleshwar Temple is on the south bank, across the river from the main temple. Many Yatris hold that the Jyotirlinga darshan is complete only after both. Keep a little time on the ghat by the Narmada before you leave.
Omkareshwar to Indore is about 78 km, a drive of about 2 hours through the ghat section.
The car takes you to your hotel in Indore. Rest for a while; the evening has one optional stop.
Sarafa is the jewellery market beside Rajwada; after the shops shut, at about 9 PM, the lane turns into Indore's best-known street-food market and runs past midnight. The food is vegetarian: bhutte ka kees, sabudana khichdi, dahi bada, jalebi and malpua. It is optional; tell the driver at check-in and the car takes you there and brings you back. Food is paid by you. If you prefer an earlier evening, Chappan Dukan is a row of food shops open from the morning. Night in Indore.
Night stay: Indore
The day begins at Khajrana Ganesh, the best-known temple in Indore. Mornings are quieter than evenings; Wednesdays are the busiest day.
A temple to Annapurna, the goddess of food, known for its tall gateway with four elephants. Shiva, Hanuman and Kal Bhairav shrines are in the same complex.
Bada Ganpati is named for its Ganesh idol, about 25 feet tall and among the largest in the country. It is a short stop on the way into the old city.
Two stops in the old city, a short walk apart. Rajwada is the seven-storey palace of the Holkars; Kanch Mandir is a Jain temple whose walls, pillars and ceiling are covered in glass and mirror work. The car waits at the nearest parking.
Lunch in Indore at a place of your choice; the driver can suggest one. Meals are paid by you.
The trip ends where it suits you: Indore airport, Indore Junction railway station or your hotel in Indore, or back in Ujjain, about 55 km and 1 hour 15 minutes away. The fare is the same either way; tell us your choice when you book.

No. The package is the car and driver for three days. You book your own hotels, one night in Ujjain and one night in Indore, and the car takes you to them. The driver's night halt charges are included.
Bhasma Aarti is the pre-dawn aarti at Mahakaleshwar, at about 4 AM. Entry is only with a pass booked in advance through the temple; we do not sell the pass. If you hold one, tell us in advance and the car will take you to the temple before dawn on Day 2.
Mostly yes, but there are steps. The ghat at Omkareshwar has steps, and there are steps up to the temple. In Indore the old-city stops need a short walk from the parking. The car drops you as close as it can at every stop; allow extra time with elders.
Indore has a far wider choice of hotels, and you wake up in the city for the third day with the airport and railway station close by. If you would rather stay the night at Omkareshwar, tell us when you book and we will plan the days that way.
Meals, hotel stay, special or paid darshan passes such as Sheeghra Darshan and the Bhasma Aarti pass, pooja charges, boat tickets at Omkareshwar, entry tickets where charged, guide fees and personal expenses.
