Trimbakeshwar One-Day Guide — Darshan, Kushavarta, Brahmagiri (2026)

If you're arriving in Trimbakeshwar between 5–6 AM (bus from Nashik, overnight taxi, or an early check-in), you can finish the temple, the Kushavarta snan, and the Brahmagiri Gangadwar visit in one day and leave by evening. Here's a Yatri-tested sequence.

🌅 Morning — snan + darshan

5:30 AM · Kushavarta Kund snan. Ritual purification before darshan — a few metres from the main temple, in the same complex. Change into dry clothes before entering the temple.

6:30 AM · Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga darshan. Sabha mandap darshan is the standard experience for all Yatris (garbha griha is closed to general public during regular hours). If you want VIP darshan, book the ₹200 pass online at trimbakeshwartrust.com and enter via the VIP gate — expect ~45 min vs 2–3 hour general queue on regular days.

8:00 AM · Breakfast at a temple-town dhaba on the main road.

🌄 Mid-morning — Brahmagiri / Gangadwar

9:00 AM · Brahmagiri Parvat. The source of Godavari. A stepped climb of ~500+ steps takes you to the summit; midway is the Gangadwar cave temple where Ganga is said to first emerge. If you can't climb the full summit, at least visit Gangadwar (~2 hours round-trip). Full summit is ~2.5–3 hours round-trip.

1:00 PM · Lunch back in the temple town.

🌇 Afternoon — Anjaneri or leave

2:30 PM · Anjaneri Hills (~7 km, birthplace of Hanuman according to local tradition) if you have the energy for a second climb. Otherwise, browse the rudraksha and traditional shopping around the temple.

5:00 PM · Depart. Comfortable window to reach Nashik Road for evening trains or drive back to your base city.
