Pickup from your hotel, Indore Junction railway station or Indore airport. The drive to Omkareshwar is about 80 km and takes about 2 hours 15 minutes.
The car stops at Omkareshwar and you walk to the ghat. The temple is across the Narmada from here, reached on foot over a bridge or by boat from the ghat.
The Jyotirlinga is on Mandhata island in the Narmada, an island said to be shaped like Om. There are steps up to the temple. On an ordinary day keep about 2 to 2.5 hours for this temple and Mamleshwar together.
Mamleshwar is on the south bank, across the river from the main temple. Many Yatris hold that the Jyotirlinga darshan is complete only after both.
Time by the river at the ghat. On the hill you can see the 108-foot statue of Adi Shankaracharya, the Statue of Oneness, unveiled in 2023.
Lunch at Omkareshwar before the drive back. About an hour.
About 80 km and 2 hours 15 minutes back to Indore.
Drop at your hotel, Indore Junction railway station or Indore airport, where the trip ends.

There are steps at the ghats and up to the temple. With elders, allow extra time. Tell us when you book; the car waits at Omkareshwar, so the darshan need not be hurried.
