Whether you’re holidaying in Goa or you live there, a Shirdi yatra brings a very different kind of calm. Goa to Shirdi is about 600 km by road — a long haul, but three practical modes are available (flight, train, bus). With a little planning it’s an easy trip for the family.

The budget pick. Trains from Goa run mostly via Pune and the whole journey is around 20 hours. A few services go all the way to Sainagar Shirdi; on the rest, get down at Kopargaon or Manmad and take a shared auto / taxi to Shirdi — both are well connected. For the long ride an AC sleeper is worth it.
